Industrial laminate materials, also referred to as thermoset composites, are most commonly known for their exceptional electrical insulation, high mechanical strength and machinability. Due to this, they are frequently manufactured into parts and components used in electromechanical applications and industries.
Layers of fabric (SRBF), paper (SRBP), or glass (SRBG) fibres are bonded with a wide range of synthetic resin systems. This is done under extreme pressures and elevated temperatures, resulting in a collection of rigid, lightweight and economical materials typically displaying outstanding electrical resistance, excellent mechanical strength and low water absorption.
The inherent rigidity of industrial laminate materials allow for the bespoke manufacture of complicated and intricate components. This is achieved using the same techniques and processes as engineering plastic materials, including; CNC milling, CNC sawing, routing, turning and drilling. Cut pieces and full sheets can also be supplied as required.
