Metal detectable nitrile rubber gaskets are cut from a synthetic elastomer that contains additives which are visible to the majority of metal detector scanning equipment. The material provides excellent resistance to abrasion and tear and is suitable for use with dry and wet foodstuffs due to its conformance with regulation EC 1935:2004. Metal detectable nitrile gaskets also maintain the key characteristics of standard nitrile rubber gaskets, as well as providing enhanced mechanical properties.
The gaskets are primarily used in the food, drink and pharmaceutical applications and help to reduce the risk of product contamination. The highly visible colour also meets industry requirements and the material provides outstanding resistance to animal fats, fish oils, greases and vegetable oils. Blue metal detectable nitrile gaskets also provide a broader operating temperature than standard grades of nitrile and are free from nitrosamine and animal derived ingredients (ADI).
At PAR Group, we have the capability to cut to precise tolerances and fulfil single or large volume requirements utilising in-house CNC machinery. We can manufacture dovetail, picture frame or standard flange gaskets and have the ability to work to bespoke dimensional drawings if required. For information on how to measure flange and picture frame gaskets, please view our step by step guide on 'How to Measure a Gasket'.
All standard flange gasket tables are available.
We can also machine bespoke gaskets and picture frame gaskets from dimensional drawings.
*Manufactured to order, may be subject to minimum order quantities and longer lead times, please enquire.
Please note: Although our metal detectable rubber is detectable by the majority of metal detection and scanning equipment, we are unable to offer any guarantees and we recommend that you test the material upon application.
