Fluorosint™ 500 PTFE Sheet - Mica Filled

Fluorosint™ 500 is a mica filled PTFE sheet material. It offers a unique combination of stability and durability, ideal for sealing applications demanding precise dimensional control. Being mica filled, it offers a nine times greater resistance to deformation under load than regular unfilled PTFE and greater wear resistance.

Fluorosint™ 500 also has exceptional chemical and hydrolysis resistance and excellent mechanical and tribological properties. Its coefficient of linear thermal expansion mirrors that of aluminium, being only 1/4 that of virgin PTFE. This makes this product a common option for designers with fit and clearance issues.

Fluorosint™ 500 is also available in rod and tube form and can be machined according to customer specific drawings. 

Applications
