Nylon 6 Rod - Flame Retardant

Nylon 6 rod - flame retardant retains the same outstanding mechanical properties of regular nylon 6 while adding the benefit of being flame retardant. It has been tested to the new EU rail vehicle standard (DIN EN 45545-2:2013) and is rated to UL94-V0. It's low density also provides significant weight benefits in comparison to other materials such as steel.

Applications

Machined components such as cable holders, clamps and channels in the rail, aviation, shipbuilding, mining and electrical industries.

Key Features

• Temperature: -20°C up to +85°C (+160°C short term).
• Very high limiting oxygen index of 40% and is halogen free.
• Offers the same characteristics of standard nylon 6 grades.
