  • Production Operative - CNC Saw Operator

  • Job Location: PAR Group | Manchester | OL10 1NB

  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

  • Job Hours: 42.5 hours per week.

  • Job Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.

  • Remuneration: From £27,000.00 to £31,000.00, depending on experience.

  • Full Job Description:

    PAR Group is a market leader in the manufacture, process and supply of plastic, insulation and rubber products to industry. With two strategically placed locations in the north-west of England, we are ideally positioned to service customers throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide.

    We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join the team at our Manchester branch. Your role will involve providing support to the Production Manager by undertaking a number of daily organisational tasks as detailed below.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Operation of the SCM Galaxy T3 CNC Beam Saw (including selecting blades/sending blades for re-grinding).
    • Maintaining and cleaning the Beam Saw to ensure it remains in good working order.
    • Undertaking work orders generated by the internal sales teams.
    • Labelling of offcuts/remaining material to ensure traceability.
    • Packing of completed manufactured or converted goods.
    • Selecting and allocating material from the warehouse.
    • Recycling of material when appropriate to do so.
    • Performing ad hoc administrative duties as required.
  • The Candidate Should:

    • Have 2 years' experience operating a CNC saw (essential).
    • Display excellent health and safety awareness.
    • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
    • Show strong communication skills, decision-making, and time management.
    • Have strong numerical and IT skills.
    • Display the ability to handle disputes and solve problems.
    • Have a willingness to learn.
    • Have an FLT counterbalance license.
    • Have experience operating a table saw, cross-cut saw, and hand tools (preferred but not essential).
