Metal Detectable Pipeline Pigs

Metal detectable pipeline pigs are manufactured from a blue food approved silicone rubber and are manufactured with a vane design. Silicone rubber has excellent heat resistant properties and our metal detectable rubber compound contains additives which are detectable by the majority of metal detection scanning equipment. This reduces the risk of product contamination sometimes caused by worn pigs. For optimal performance our metal detectable pipeline pigs are manufactured to suit the pipework inside diameter. Standard food approved pipeline pigs can also be supplied.

Applications

Pipeline cleaning in food and hygienic applications where a detectable pig is required.

Standards 

• Conforms to US FDA 21 CFR177.2600 for rubber articles intended for repeated use with food.
