Energy insulation materials are used in heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing applications in domestic and industrial environments. Our range is designed to improve energy efficiency, help prevent pipework from bursting in sub-zero conditions and protect personnel from hot exposed external surfaces. We also offer products that are primarily used in the building industry to insulate walls, floors and loft spaces such as Rockwool®.
For domestic and industrial pipework, a range of pipe lagging manufactured from nitrile and polyethylene foam is available which helps to conserve heat and reduce the risk of corrosion. Class O Armaflex® is one of our most popular options due to its conformance with British and European fire classifications and its ability to reduce energy consumption by up to 87% once installed. Other economical brands such as Tubolit provide effective insulation and help to reduce the transmission of noise emitted by pipework.
If a bespoke insulation solution is required, we have the capability to manufacture pipe, valve and tank insulation jackets utilising in-house industrial stitching facilities from dimensional drawings or samples. To see how we assisted a water treatment works that had pipe and valves susceptible to cold conditions and potential bursting, please see our insulation case study.
