At PAR Group, we proudly support a diverse range of football clubs in our local community, spanning from Junior teams to well-established organisations like Charnock Richard FC, Chorley FC and Preston North End. We appreciate the vital role played by grassroots teams within our community. These teams not only offer essential opportunities for children but also promote active, healthy lifestyles in today's digitally dominated world.
In this digital age, where media and screen time often lead to sedentary habits among youngsters, nurturing their passion for sports is more crucial than ever. With approximately 14.1 million adults and children in the UK regularly participating in football, the demand for grassroots clubs continues to soar. However, the funding available to these clubs often falls far short of what is required for them to operate and compete effectively. Many teams struggle with outdated and worn-out kits, which can deter new players and challenge the retention of existing ones. We aim to inspire the next generation through our support, particularly when their team kits proudly display the same sponsors as their semi-professional professional player idols.
Chris Livesey of PAR Group said:
"We are delighted to offer our support to grassroots in our local community, and as a local business, we believe it is important to do so. Not only does it support the clubs, but it also ensures the kids are provided opportunities and encouraged to enjoy sports and be more active. It is an exciting day for these young players to receive a new kit, and it makes us proud to see how much it inspires them and how much it is appreciated by those involved at the club."
Stuart, manager of Penwortham Town (U9) added:
"There are so many important factors required for grassroots to exist, and it relies a lot on people volunteering to coach, the parents helping out, and finding local businesses to help sponsor. It is all part of the package required so that these young kids can be part of something special to them.
The kits aren’t cheap, so for local businesses like PAR Group to get involved and sponsor local clubs is a key part of grassroots teams existing and surviving. It would be great to encourage more businesses to get involved, as it really does make a difference."
Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe quoted:
"Investment in grassroots football up and down the country is essential in developing talented players of the future whilst providing opportunities and enjoyment.
It's crucial to invest in the future of our players since there are numerous talented young ladies and lads out there. The government funding to support this type of initiative would be highly beneficial."
We extend our appreciation to the dedicated coaches and volunteers who selflessly contribute to the success of these clubs. Your unwavering commitment is the backbone of these organisations; without your hard work, none of this would be possible.
While we receive numerous sponsorship requests from various community organisations, we understand we cannot support everyone. However, we hope that our dedication to grassroots teams will serve as an inspiration to other businesses. By uniting and rallying behind our local clubs, we can collectively shape a brighter future for our community and its young athletes. Together, we can make a significant impact and encourage more businesses to participate in this meaningful endeavour.
