On Sunday 30th September, Preston saw approximately 1,500 runners take part in the popular 'City of Preston 10K’ road race.
As event sponsor, PAR Group had 11 members of staff take part, some of which were taking on the 10km challenge for the first time.
It was a fantastic effort by all with every single member of ‘Team PAR’ crossing the finish line. One member of staff finished in 1st place with a time of 33:38, and further strong performances meant that PAR Group won the corporate team trophy!
In addition to the achievements during the race, fundraising efforts also resulted in over £600 being raised for Macmillan Cancer Support and Prostate Cancer UK. One particular PAR runner also personally raised over £200 for Diabetes UK.
