We recently manufactured a range of straight and tapered timing scrolls for a customer.
Also referred to as timing screws, worm feeds and infeed worms, timing scrolls are a key component on packaging lines within the food, drink and pharmaceutical industries.
They are commonly manufactured from UHMWPE (PE1000) rod due to the low co-efficient of friction and food-safe properties that the material provides.
A recent customer required an unconventional length, meaning multiple sections needed to be precision engineered and fixed together to form a strong, seamless joint. Holes and keyways were also machined into the ends to enable affixing to their application.
With over 35 years of experience in plastic engineering, we have an excellent reputation in supplying many different industries throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide.
