Employees at PAR Group came together to organise a heartwarming foodbank collection in support of two local charities in the Preston and Manchester areas: Chorley Help the Homeless and Middleton Central Foodbank. This initiative aimed to provide essential food supplies to the homeless and vulnerable children in the community, ensuring they wouldn’t go hungry this Christmas.
The generosity of PAR employees was evident throughout the collection. Colleagues from all departments united to donate non-perishable food items, toiletries, and other necessities. The collection boxes quickly filled, showing the genuine commitment of PAR staff to making a positive impact on the lives of those facing hardship.
Chorley Help the Homeless
The food items collected will greatly benefit 'Chorley Help the Homeless,' an organisation dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. The donated goods will be used to create food parcels, ensuring those in need have access to nourishing meals. PAR Group's contribution will help 'Chorley Help the Homeless' continue their crucial work of providing essential support and advocacy for homeless individuals in the local area.
Middleton Central Foodbank
The Middleton Central Foodbank is set up in the community to ensure that people aren't going hungry. They offer emergency food support and work with referrals to help people access the food they need. They are a part of The Trussell Trust network, a wider charity that helps combat food poverty across the UK. Between April 2023 and March 2024, they have helped over 2,590 people access 3-day emergency food supplies and have had roughly 29.8 tons of food donated to them.
The 'Christmas Collection' at PAR was a resounding success, highlighting the compassion and generosity of our community. Reflecting on this meaningful initiative inspires us to continue seeking ways to support and uplift those in need. The spirit of giving doesn't end with one drive, it forms the foundation for ongoing efforts to create positive change within our local area.
As a company, PAR Group remain committed to identifying new opportunities to enhance community well-being and make a lasting difference for those who need it most. For further details on our community work, please visit our social channels or get in touch if you think we can assist.
