The SPAR City of Preston 10K is back and again we are delighted to announce that we will be an official partner to The Running Bee Foundation's event! This year’s race will take place on Sunday 25th September 2022. These events help promote and create health and wellbeing initiatives, the benefits of an active lifestyle and support the fight to reduce childhood obesity.
Aiming to appeal to runners of varying ages and abilities, from the beginners to the pros, the foundation encourages anybody to get involved and give it their best shot. Starting and ending near the city centre, runners will find themselves on a route through the scenic Avenham Park.
This is also the second year that runners will be able to take part in the "MyFirst ™" mile run which is designed for anybody who doesn't feel like they're ready to take on the whole 10k. Participants can run the first mile and be rewarded with a medal for their achievements.
