Polycarbonate Sheet (Impex®)

Impex® Polycarbonate Sheet

Polycarbonate sheet (PC) is a rigid thermoplastic that provides outstanding impact strength, high dimensional stability and excellent optical clarity. The material offers very good electrical insulation properties and satisfactory resistance to alcohols, greases, oils and diluted acids and alkalis. Our standard grade is Impex®, which is manufactured in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11963 and has been tested to a range of internationally recognised building and flammability standards.

Impex® polycarbonate transmits up to 86% of light and is co-extruded with a layer of UV protection on both sides (with the exception of 1mm and 1.5mm). This makes it ideal for use in both interior and exterior applications such as skylights, protective screen barriers, windows or partition walling in residential, commercial and industrial environments. Impex® also has a B-s1-d0 fire classification to DIN EN 13501-1 and is approved for use in construction applications from 1.5mm up to 6mm. As well as our standard Impex® grade, we also supply Paltuf/Palsun options.

Polycarbonate sheet is also used to fabricate machine guards, transfer chutes and containment units. We offer a comprehensive plastic fabrication service and have the capability to form, fold, weld or bond polycarbonate utilising in-house facilities to suit your specific requirements. To make an enquiry for a bespoke product that requires fabrication or a cut-to-size piece, please contact our technical sales team and include a dimensional drawing on your email.
