Spiral Wound Gaskets

Spiral wound gaskets (commonly referred to as metaflex or maxiflex gaskets) consist of a pre-formed metallic winding strip with layers of softer, more compressible sealing material, such as graphite, compressed fibre or PTFE. This gives the gasket the ability to recover under fluctuating loads.

• Filler material required.
• Winding material required.
• Outer (Centering) ring material (if the gasket requires a centering ring).
• Inner ring material (if the gasket requires an inner ring).

Markings:

• Many spiral wound gaskets have markings on the outside edge or face. If you are trying to match up to an existing gasket, please provide us with details of these markings if present.
