Dual containment hose is designed to prevent contamination to the environment in the water treatment and chemical industry. It is constructed from an inner carrier tube or hose that is used to convey the product and a clear PVC or polyurethane outer tube to provide containment in the event of a leak. PAR Group can supply pre-assembled dual containment hose in long lengths complete with the inner carrier tube threaded through the outer clear containment tube. Containment units can also be manufactured to catch leaks when a connection is required. The following grades are our standard options, but many other types are available and can be viewed on our flexible tubing page.
Containment hose is commonly used in chemical dosing, chemical transfer and water treatment applications.
6101 clear braided PVC hose is manufactured from PVC and reinforced with a polyester yarn. This hose is available with a PVC or polyurethane outer containment tube.
Our 6101 dual containment hose is commonly used in water discharge, chemical lines, irrigation and food transfer applications. Available with a PVC or polyurethane outer containment tube.

The 6718 EVA LDPE inner carrier hose is manufactured from EVA material with a low density polyethylene (LDPE) inner, and is reinforced with a polyester yarn. EVA LPDE tubing is available with a PVC or polyurethane outer containment tube.
Commonly used with cold water connections, chemical lines and some liquid foodstuffs.
If replacement 6718 EVA LDPE inner hose is required it is available in either 30 or 100 metre coils.

The 6712 PTFE dual containment hose is manufactured with a PTFE inner. This hose is available with a PVC or polyurethane outer containment tube.
Our 6712 dual containment hose is popular for the transportation of viscous media which can cause blockage. It is also commonly used for conveying harsh chemicals.
If replacement 6712 PTFE inner tubing is required it is available in various coil lengths dependent on the size of the tube.

Convoluted PTFE tubing is also available for increased flexibility and bend radius. PTFE outer containment tubing can also be supplied.
Containment units (also known as catch-pots) are commonly used in the water treatment and chemical industry to help contain chemical leaks from hose and tubing. In dual containment hose applications, containment units are designed to be fitted around the outside of the inner carrier hose where a connection is required. This helps to quickly identify and contain any leaks from the joint. Containment units can also be used as a break in the outer containment tube with the inner tube remaining unbroken. This can provide a leak detection point.
Our containment units are custom made from clear plastic and can be supplied curved or straight with a removable top if required. Pipe fittings and chemical resistant seals can also be incorporated. Please enquire for more information.
